Hi Phil,The most economic speed for the A332/A333 and A342/A343 is mach .817 (according to the Airbus documentation), so when you have to choose between .81 or .82, then .82 is the most efficient mach number when you're looking at your fuel burn. :)http://home.planet.nl/~duijn181/cu2/koen.jpgP.S. But, right now (in september, hurricane season), flights to caribeans are only half-booked so payload and ZFW is rather light, allowing more fuel.To me M0.81 seems more economical as the RPLL-LFPG flight (the longest one) is often filed at M0.81.Cheers.Yohann.

hello koen,ppv is "preparation des plans de vols" there is no public link to air france flightplanning office ...!!!now about your airbus documentation im sorry to tell you that economic speed is more complicated that they can write it ...!!!if you re taking LRC (long range cruise) it can be lower even than .80...but for the specific flight the flight ops made by dispatcher got two limitations (small runway, long haul flight - small fuel capacity) and in the book and from the comp the best is .81 comparing to .82 or any others CI cost index used... hope this is cleari can show the fuel plan demo to you if you want just pm mesee youphil

I confirm that current TNCM/LFPG fligths are flown at M0.82, most probably thanks to the very light payload during the hurricane season: yesterday LFPG-TNCM was 40% booked.Yohann.
