AI traffic

Featured Replies

Has anybody had a problem with a lack of AI traffic? I have dynamic scenery maxed and there is no traffic. There are no planes around the hangers and nothing in the air. Strange thing is, I used to have it. Any ideas?ThanksBill

Bill,You have to go to Options and then select ATC and then move ATC slider to the right. Hope this gets you started.John

Bill,This should be clearer. Go to Options, then select Settings, then select ATC, and then move Traffic Percent slider to the right.John

ATC slider set to far right. Still no traffic in the air or on the ground. Anything else to try? Thanks for the quick responseBill

Bill,Someone mentioned the other day that you need have a folder named default or default.dp among the planes in your aircraft folder. If it's missing, you can get it off the FS2002 disk 1.John

The problem was that the default.dp file was missing from the aircraft folder. Copied it from disk 1 and now have AI aircraft. Thanks for the help all.Bill

Hi Bill,Dynamic Scenery and AI are two different types of moving scenery.Dynamic Scenery is usually third party add-on scenery that provides moving vehicles, doors, etc. It isn't controlled by Air Traffic Control (ATC). If you have not added any third party add-on scenery, you should leave its option deselected under Options, Display, Scenery Tab, Dynamic Scenery checkbox - cleared.AI Scenery is the moving scenery that is controlled by ATC, usually aircraft but could be ground vehicles designed with similiar aircraft properties. AI is controlled under Options, ATC.Bill Sieffert
