building a flight plan?

Featured Replies

hello there,i`m very new at flightplan building because i just got the great pmdg 747 and never used fmcs before. i passed a tutorial flight without problemsa but i would like to build my own flightplans. the flightplans in this forum may be great but i don`t know how to use them... when i try to enter them in the fmc, it displays "not in database", even when i downloaded and installed the newest navdata. so, if someone could short tell how to build a flightplan step by step and on wich fmc-page, i would be very happy.thx and regardsphil

Route PagePage 2/2First entry will be a waypoint VOR or NDBIt should go on the top RIGHT -->if something has letters and numbers ie, J175 or UL783 it should go on the left sideyou will always start with a waypoint, not an airway, so the first airway should be on second like at the leftfor instance, YSSY - YMMLYSSY WOL H65 RAZZI Q29 TAREX YMMLRTE PAGE 1depart arriveYSSY YMML. callsign. QF3RTE PAGE 2 (after hitting "NEXT PAGE" button on the keypad)---- WOLH65 RAZZIQ29 TAREX Activate>After hitting Activate, click the EXEC button
