Hi Raj1. FL270 was just the initial altitude, these flights to SFO take off at over or just under 400 tonnes so this altitude was probably the most optimum at the time. They probably filed for FL290 in Taipei Airspace after the huge amount of fuel used on initial climb out.2. 4400N/17000W is a waypoint. On real CX plans it would be displayed in the ICAO ATS Plan as 44N170W or as I put it in the PMDG FMC 44N70 - so its a Latitude and Longitude waypoint. They use this instead of standard airways becuase it is probably part of the Pacific Organised Track System (www.notams.jcs.mil). These tracks are just created to take advantage of optimum winds over the pacific. Hope this helps

FlightAware is a good source for getting real-world flight routings. The main problem is that it only has flights out of the USA.For the PACOTS or 'Pacific Organised Track System' go to the second site www.notams.faa.gov . These are Random tracks created by the Oceanic ATC centres such as 'Oakland Oceanic'. These tracks take advantage of high altitude enroute winds, they also are put in place to keep the oceanic airspace organised.

Thats strange, it works fine here. Look up 'us notams' on google and click on the first entry, that should work.
