June 1, 200620 yr Hi... I'm not an expert, so my explanation may require further clarification (or corrections?) by someone more qualified, but anyway, here's what I know of FPs...They usually start with the SID... in the case of your KMIA-EDDF flight, there's none in the flightplan... SID usually "look like" a couple of letters followed by a number... for example, Miami's "Souby" departure will be indicated by SOUBY4 ... then you have the waypoints and airways... for example GRATX B646 DEENO is from GRATX to DEENO via B646...Finally, it ends with the STAR... in the case of your MIA-FRA flight it is OSMAX1W and in the case of your MIA-ATL flight it is CANUK3... You usually enter SIDs and STARs in the arr-dep page of the FMC...One more thing... in your KMIA-EDDF flightplan you have NATZ ... NAT means North Atlantic Track ... these are trans-atlantic routes which are updated daily... in the case of your flightplan (if it's a flight that crossed the Atlantic on June 1st between 1 am and 8 am (GMT), then NATZ is: LAZEY 3460N (=34
