July 30, 200718 yr Hi folks,Just wondering if anyone can tell me what cost index airlines like Easyjet, ryanair, BA and BMI use on their flights.Would appreciate any info you can give me.Regards Irv320
July 30, 200718 yr Hi IRV320,I'm not an expert on the subject but I believe Cost Index varies by each individual flight. The Cost Index determines the ECON speed for the flight and is based on a number of (quite complicated) factors. These include fuel costs, crew hourly costs, cost of knock on delays to other flights, aircraft leasing costs, weather conditions for the route of flight, etc. So I don't believe there is a "right" answer to your question.Perhaps someone else could better explain what I'm trying to say. (or correct me if I'm wrong)Bob

August 2, 200718 yr Sorry for misleading you IRV320. As I can now see from Iain's reply, there are (default) CI's by a/c type by company. I learned something new and that's a good thing.Bob
