November 25, 200817 yr All,I read that NARs are no longer required to be filed exiting oceanic airspace westbound, is this true?- Ian
December 5, 200817 yr Where did you read that?Internal communications. My understanding is that there is no requirement to use the westbound NARs, and any routing after the oceanic exit point is valid. I think that Gander plans on keeping the NARs published in the event of radar outages/communication failures.
