Can someone tell me if the 727 is better than the default 737 for short-field operations (I am talking about runways with less than 5000 feet long)?

Generally the 737 is considered a better short field aircraft than the 727. They both do a good job stoping, but the 737 is just a bit smaller and lighter and it is a bit less critical as far as landing speeds and power settings on final. Its an easier aircraft to land by a good bit making it even better suited to tight places.Hornit
