  1. Any possibility of an FS9 version? Still using that here. Very nice scenery!
  2. Still have the long texture loads and sometime stutters others have mentioned. I posted on the support forum also. I REALLY believe the texture sheets are too large and we really do not need a cabin modeled. Waste of polys and texture loading IMHO. 2048x2048 texture sheets for the wings, nacelles, engines etc is too much and I believe this is the main problem for load times if you are in external view. probably the casue of stutters on some level also. The default texture folder is 367MB and each individual paint is on the order of 40 MB. That is a lot for an aircraft.
  3. Ill be working on Delta when i get the textures resized Someone already has done it, but its a bit too dirty for me so ill be giving it a whack sometime soon.
  4. I am pretty sure I know why folks are having frame rate issues with this one. The texture sheets are almost ALL 2048 X 2048. Even tires engines, etc. While that is great if you are running the latest behemoth video card, its probably a bit of overkill for so many texture sheets being that large. Im pretty sure this is why the exterior textures take so long to load also I have been working on resizing one airframe and it does seem to be helping quie a bit. Even the base texture files in the -21 folder have these large textures. Still working on it though...resizing to 1024 X 1024 looks very nice. Another issue I believe is the interior....I dont need it with a tubeliner. Some nice textures for the windows look better and help without all those polys inside having to get displayed. Might be nice to get a no 3D cabin version if that is possible. Other than things already mentioned its a decent add on for the price and Im enjoying it.
  5. Got it sussed out, thanks for all the help guys!!!
  6. Thanks for the registering info Joe..much appreciated.
  7. Hmmmmm I have used Sbuilder for a while....years in fact, but when i open that LWm bgl and find the pond, delete it..then attempt to save it says i cannot do that as my copy of Sbuilder is not registered! Not seen this before and was not aware this needed to be registered in order to use it. I guess I just have never used any of the features requiring this!
  8. So to be clear..just browse to those files with Sbuilder....open them..find the offending pond...select it and delete. Then save and recompile the bgl . I guess I have to do both also, delete the coastline and the water feature. I have made landclass files and done some poly work with Sbuilder succesfully.
  9. Thanks Luis, much appreciated. After careful investigation it is Free Flow New England which is adding this small water feature which i do not want. I dont know how to find it though to modify. Im working on KDDH, bennington, NH and just want to modify it for my self. Any help you can give is much appreciated. How would I find that specific pond and how do i identify which BGL I need to modify? Its basically right off one end of the runway.
  10. Luis, Can i do that say along with a landclass project for the same area? Or do i have to make it a seperate bgl/seperate project? As to the LWM file Im assuming you are talking about the entire grid square as i look at it in Sbuilder. I was thinking I could just make an LWM poly with a landmask but that does not do it.
  11. I'd like to larn how to delete small water features, specificaly ponds and lakes. Several airports I mess around with scenery wise have some badly placed water and i would like to get rid of it. Im talking FS9 and Sbuilder here. Im familiar with Sbuilder and landclass etc, so a short bit on how would be great. Thanks.
  12. Whose Super Cub is that? looks very nice. Great shots!
  13. Ummm..not bad, but what is with the "square" nose shape? Seems weird to me.
  14. Just search the file library for Duxford and search by date..meaning the latest ones. You will find it for both FS9 and FSX. Its superb scenery and it has AI you can chase too.
  15. Duxford with the old Alpha Trojan and a bit of blur and a dash of enb....otherwise its pretty much stock FS9. My new rig is purring like a kitten and im really enjoying the quality of graphics and the smoothness of flying with all my add-ons. Even FSX is running very well. Enjoy...

  17. Ahh love the old Blue ball myself. very nice!
  18. Just downloaded this one myself.....took a while to figure out which Russian label meant Download ;) Im pretty impressed with the model actually, very cool airplane too. Ed, Are you planning any other textures for this one? just curious, there are few interesting ones out there, most are variations on the former Soviet paintjob. Can i have your smoke files please??? ;)
  19. Wheres the delta connection bird????? Ahh never mind I see its a 190......bummer.
  20. EVGA has been fantastic and quick so far. Ive been around this stuff for a while and this is the first time Ive seen such a huge percentage of one model video card have this many folks complain. The other side of the coin could be that a lot of folks are too lazy to complain or find a forum. I always go to the forums FIRST. The answers are usually there. Unfortunately with this particular chipset/card it seems if you are NOT seeing problems count yourself very lucky.
  21. Ive been reading several tech forums/blogs over the last moth and it appears there are many industry folks who think that 60-% of all 560 cards may have hardware problems. There are MANY, MANY cases of people RMA'ing these cards two and even three times and not getting a good one. Personally Im on my first RMA of my GF 560ti OC. I have read NUMEROUS accounts of significant problems with this card in the last two to three months. So many that If i had known about it, I would not have bought this card. Currently running a Radeon 6970 in my rig and its fine. The EVGA unit I have was wonky from the get go and became almost useless within about two weeks. For starters just go read the Nvidia Geforce 500 series forums....tons of problems. I am curios how many folks here have seen artifacting, BSOD's, or TDR's with these cards..the "Driver has stopped responding" alerts to be specific. The very first time I dropped the 560 out of my system and did a clean install of my Radeon, everything I had been seeing went away. Im on a new build here and everything you can think of was tested and retested, system is solid, and temps are not nor ever have been an issue.
  22. I would like to know if folks who use the Geforce 560 series of cards have had ANY issues since installation. It appears Nvidia may have some serious issues with this card. Post if you've had a good card or if you have not.....appreciate it.
  23. I'd say that if your not doing a "clean" install with any of the latest Nvidia or ATI drivers you've been pretty lucky to not have any issues. Even the guys who make the cards recommend it as one of the FIRST things to check when you have problems.
  24. Well Im getting very good performance out of my Core i5 at about 4ghz...it will OC more but Im conservative. You are correct the sim is CPU bound. The graphics will allow it to LOOK better and run well at hi resolutions. You really need a newer gen CPU with the better motherboard and memory architecture. Its made a BIG difference here. I went from a Core 2 Duo to this and it was a very noticeable improvement, particularly with FSX.
  25. Here is some info for you...http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/fastest-graphics-card-radeon-geforce,3067-7.htmlThe top two or three tiers on that chart are going to run pretty much anything you can throw at them in 1920X1080 rez at mostly full settings. I recently have used both a Gforce 560ti OC and a Radeon 6870 and BOTH of those cards run either FS9 AND FSX at almost full tilt. Make sure your CPU is up to it though, those cards and the top end ones need a fast CPU as does FSX to make things look good AND be smooth at high resolutions.
