Complete world-wide coverage of winds aloft information and processing of such for online and offline use with ActiveSky wxRE is being worked on.This feature will not be available for the first release of wxRE, but will be in an update expected around late January. In the mean time, ActiveSky wxRE contains complete coverage of US winds aloft data (except Hawaii) and has enhanced winds aloft simulation for other areas. Winds aloft simulation is approximately 75% accurate to real-world upper-air conditions in most cases, and about 90% accurate when outside US but within 500nm of of a valid US FD reporting station.Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxre-banner.jpg

Due to problems with writing icing information to clouds, "intelligent" icing will not be available in the initial ActiveSky wxRE release. This will be re-addressed in a subsequent update or future version. In the mean time, FSUIPC has a Random Icing in Clouds option that will ice the clouds up for you plenty when conditions are conductive to such. ActiveSky wxRE fully supports and uses this feature and it will be a recommended option to enable when using this add-on.Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxre-banner.jpg
