November 22, 200223 yr Hi Damian, will ActiveSky provide weather conditions for a *wide* area in a given time instant (the same as FS2002 real weather)? I mean, if I am overflying a certain point and I want to see, on my FSFlightmax screen, what the weather is like 100 miles away, can I do that or will I have to reach that area to have the weather conditions load?Thank you....Looking forward to ActiveSky!Luca
November 22, 200223 yr Commercial Member Hi Luca,Yes. FSFlightMax supports up to 200nm range and ActiveSky will supply it with 300nm. The 100nm buffer to handle when the airplane is flying away from the last processed position and hasn't yet received an update. So you get up to 100nm past this initial position until an update must occur - otherwise your radar display will miss areas at the further ranges. By setting your METAR update interval (online or offline) to something less than 20 minutes you should always get full-range weather info in FlightMax. Probably more info than you wanted to know but there ya go!

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxresmallbanner.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...]
[/table Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
