Weather Download Problem

Featured Replies

Have not been able to get ActiveSky 1.5 to download weather tonight. I'm getting a "Download Error or Timeout" message in the FD Winds Aloft bar. Metar bar just shows "Downloading...". This is occuring just 2 to 3 seconds after starting ActiveSky. I have uninstalled and reinstalled ActiveSky, but this did not help. I have tried starting from different airports. This did not help either.

Hi,Your connection to the NOAA servers appears to be shaky at the moment, which is not out of the ordinary during these peak internet usage times. You can try VATSIM for the METARS which may help, but you will probably have to wait for things to improve a bit. FWIW wxRE handles this better and in really bad internet connection times you will have the OFFLINE mode to keep things running.-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxresmallbanner.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...]
[/table
