I've got WxRE. The following dynamic weather was shown while flying:(Dynamic)-KAUG 142218Z 02016KT 2SM RA BR SCT005 OVC020 02/02 A2936Visibility seemed correct but I could still see the ground while flying at 4000 feet even though the dynamic metar showed overcast at 2000 feet. Please advise.

I flew with the following weather and the depiction was excellent. Lost sight of the ground at 1600 feet.(Dynamic)-KAUG 142235Z 02016KT 3SM -SHRA OVC015 02/02 A2936Why good behavior here and not in the previous?
