FS2002 Pause on aircraft touchdown

Featured Replies

Don't know if this is anything but as I touched down on the runway the sim just paused for about 10-15 seconds. Has never done that before as this was my first flight with ActiveSky. The program is great and worked flawlessly the entire flight. Followed all the setup procedures. I'm running Win98SE, PIII 850, 512MB, Geforce2 GTS VC. Is their something that I might have checked that caused this to happen?Great Program!!Regards, Doug

Hi Doug,Hmmm haven't heard of this by use of ActiveSky, but I have witnessed this when FS2002 was crawling due to high scenery, AI, turbulence, and high effects detail. When you touchdown and the smoke effect gets triggered, this can happen. 10-15 seconds sounds a little extreme though. Are you using any other applications that can be also causing this? What were your framerates prior to touching down?
