December 18, 200223 yr hi, thinking of buying this program but before i do, i have one question. In the FS default weather, there is a feature that overides the standard 10sm visibility reading that you get from an automatic reporting station. anytime the visibility is over 10, the station will list it as 10 even if the actual visibility is 50 or more. FS would notice this and adjust to a more realistic visibility. I tried another weather program that didn't adjust and the entire country had 10 mi. visibility, kinda unrealistic. Will activesky adjust that visibility? thx in advance....
December 18, 200223 yr Commercial Member Hi, yes, with the FSUIPC random extend visibility option which wxRE supports. This will extend vis from the 10 mile report to the maximum vis setting (also in FSUIPC) on a random basis to make this more realistic. December 18, 200223 yr not to be picky, but I have used that feature before and it didn't seem to help, most of the airports stayed 10 mi. Is there a way to override this so it will always correct the visibility rather than randomly? thx again.
December 19, 200223 yr FSUIPC will always correct the visibility, the random part is how far it extends it. I do not know of any other method of effecting this.
