Climbing through thick overcast ???

Featured Replies

Damian, first off great program, am really glad I made the invesment.Only thing iv'e found thats bugged me is I took off from Schiphol earlier in a thick overcast, almost zero vis. This was with me all the way up to about 27000ft, and then it totally disappeared. I could see everything around and below me. Is that normal. ?http://freespace.virgin.net/philip.jeff/BAVBanner.gif

Hi Phil,A certain version of ADVDISP has been known to cause this problem (due to FSUIPC communications issues), if you are using ADVDISP and/or RC3 you can try upgrading this (www.schiratti.com/dowson.html). There was also another problem found with certain TAF reports that could cause this, fixed and ready for the new build..Thanks!-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...]
[/table

Thanks Damian, it must be the TAF issue then because I don't ues RC3 or ADVDISP.

PSJust as an afterthought. I don't have an always on internet connection, and if Activesky is set for online mode when I start it up, and not connected to the net, it crashes out with a runtime error.Actually it doesn't even start, it just shows an error box.
