A way to change message colors?

Featured Replies

Is there some way to customize the colors that wxre uses for messages within FS2002? I find that the red type on green background makes my eyes vibrate (this is actually a well-known phenomenon). If there is no way to customize this, I would suggest either adding customization in the next update, or using the default FS white on green for messages.Thanks,-tim

Hi Tim,There is no way to change the message text, this is a function of the FS2002 text messaging system similar to the text you see when using multiplayer. The solution is coming though, via voice ATIS and FlightWatch. Sounds cool! I've switched over from FS Meteo, and while my experience with that product was limited, wxRE does seem to be a good bit better.Too bad about the message colors though. I've never done multiplayer, but if the red/green is MS's choice, shame on them.-t

Until Damian impliments this feature you might want to try using "AdvDisp" (available by clicking "The Hermit" link below) from Peter Dowson. You can then have the txt any size, colour or place you wish.

Thank you! It looks promising and I'll give it a try.-tim (-:
