January 4, 200323 yr When a METAR reports visibility as: M1SMit does not show in FS, e.g. unlimited visibility. When I do a custom write without the 'M' all is as expected.I can't find any reference to the leading 'M' but I assume it means "minimum", e.g. "Minimum visibility could be 1 SM.However, AS does not use it as such?METAR used was:KMAE 041452Z AUTO 00000KT M1/4SM FG VV001 04/04 A3022Any ideas?Gideon
January 4, 200323 yr Commercial Member Hello,I haven't seen that one before.. I assume it means "Minus" 1/4SM as in less than 1/4. (e.g. in TAF's greater than 6SM vis is listed as P6SM).I'll add support.. Thanks.!-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...]
[/table Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
