Wrong Active Wx station

Featured Replies

Hello:I'm using ActiveSky wxRE, and I noticed that, in Offline mode, after downloading a weather report using "Options - Auto download button", saving and returning to main menu, the program reports in Active Wx Station box wrongs places relative to me (for example: FOOL/566nm (3062 nm to dest.), and other so far stations. I also noticed that, typing in "Custom/Destination Weather" button my near Wx station (SBSP), the program reports "ID not found in offline METAR file".Please, what's going wrong?ThanksValter - Brazil

For your second situation you need to keep in mind that every station worldwide may not report every hour. I just tried SBSP with the 00 METAR and it came up OK. If this happens again you may just want to try the one hour earlier METAR.Hope this helps.

Thank you. However, why the "Active Wx Station", upon the loading of offline files, always open so far stations, like DGAA?Is there a way to force Active WxRE to open near stations to my real location? Thanks againValter - Brazil

Hi,DGAA is the default when the reported lat/lon is 0/0 (when FS is closed).. DGAA happens to be the closest metar station to 0/0.No support for changing this (possibly in the future) but for now you can load FS2002, go to wherever you want, and wxRE will read that.-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...]
[/table
