fsuipc 2.95\ActiveSky1.1

Featured Replies

I have the upgrade but apparently I was using fsuipc 2.94 with ActiveSky V1.0. Now after installing the 1.1 upgrade(which requires fsuipc 2.95)I get a lot of pausesstutters. I've done my best to try to isolate this including going back to fsuipc 2.94 and ActiveSky v1.0. This seems to have calmed things down a bit. I will do further testing but just wanting to know if anyone else has experienced the "stutters"(above the usual)since installing fsuipc 2.95ActiveSky v1.1. BTW I recall a previous versions of fsuipc causing this in some cases.thanks

Obviously there are still a lot of guys and maybe girls that have the stutters, including me. There is a post in the FS2002 forum that idicates that. I have the latest FSUIPC, AdvDisp, etc. installed.Other than that and the other known issues it is a great program. Love it.Cheers,Alex

Hi,You have confirmed that FSUIPC 2.95/ASwxRE v1.1 is slower than FSUIPC 2.94/ASwxRE v1.1? Let me know, it at least gives me something to go on here...Also, when are you experiencing this? Is it during winds aloft updates? Are you using FSFlightMax export? HI Damian, this is my first post because with version 1.0 and fsuipc 2.94 I had no problems. Then I installed v1.1 but it told me I needed fsuipc 2.85 to run it. So I installed v2.95 but all today for the first time since I use this program I get a. run time error '5', INVALID PROCEDURE CALL OR ARGUMENT! Do you know what this could depend on, or has it happened to somebody else?Regards,Bjorn

Sorry I wrote 2.85, but I have installed fsuipc v. 2.95!

Hi,This can happen when you have a bad connection to the NOAA servers.. it is usually temporary. I am working on additional communications enhancements to prevent this type of error. When it occurs, you can run OFFLINE instead and resume ONLINE when the connection is better. Hello DamianGreat program BTW.Well i'm still trying to isolate where the pausestutter came from but i'm pretty sure it's most likely my setup rather than the program(even though fs2k2's been, for the most part, smooth up till now). I recall having a similar problem a year or two ago with a newer version of fsuipc and just switched back to the previous version to solve the increased stuttering(newer vid. drivers have been known to cause this also but haven't changed mine lately). Seeing as v1.1 requires fsuipc version 2.95 it's obvious I cannot compare v1.1fsuipc(2.94-older) to see if it was a new fsuipc or ActiveSky update problem. The stuttering was pretty much in every environment, not isolated to any particular view, WX condition. Right now i'm back to 2.94 and v1.0, but will experiment a bit more including trying fsuipc 2.95 with fsmeteo.thanks
