January 25, 200323 yr I have 1.15 Retail installed.... and for last three flights KDFW to LAX i reach cruise altitude (FL350) and when a new station reports my airplane acts like a wave of air has hit it and in all three instances has effected my flight envelope thus, my airspeed dropped to 30 or so i drop out of the sky which is not good for business. Most of the time when active sky reported a new station my plane would change direction sometimes by 10 to 20 degrees. It might be the way I have the airplane configured but funny when a new station reports its like my directional needle is all over the place. I programmed FSUIPC according to specs in the Active sky down load Any one else experienced sudden loss of speed and altitude. Fl350 is a long way down by the way I was fly online VatsimThanks Steve
January 25, 200323 yr HiI made a flight from KSFO to KLAX at 25,000 ft, no clouds... no problems, made a flight from KLAX to KDEN at 35,000 ft. lots of clouds... the speed went to zero and dropped out of the sky; just turned off "Add random icing in cloud" in FSUIPC, Maybe I needed to turn deicing switch on. Will try again.... Juan_v
January 26, 200323 yr Commercial Member Hi Steve,Sounds like your FSUIPC wind smoothing options are not set correctly.. see the documentation for the recommended settings here.. let me know if this solves the problem.
