January 29, 200323 yr RE: ActiveSky wxreI have config the option window of ActiveSky and the Fsuipc options. Everything worked until I downloaded and installed the up date. Now when I ask for a down load it takes a long time to respond and when it does it reports errors, such as download timeout or error reading wrex.ini, may be file/folder incorrectly set? I have check the ini to make sure all values are correct. Winds aloft are always all zeros. Suggestions? Help??John G.Spokane, Wa
January 29, 200323 yr Commercial Member Hi John, are you using AOL? They are having major problems lately (as usual) and cannot get a good connection to NOAA servers. If this is the case, I highly recommend switching ISPs if you wish to receive more reliable internet data including wxRE downloads :)-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...]
[/table Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
January 29, 200323 yr Thanks for your quick reply. I am using att broadband. What should I be looking for..... to correct the wxre.ini error message? I am getting some response now (disabled my firewall) but I don't believe the program is functioning correctly. Thanks for your time..
January 30, 200323 yr Commercial Member If you auto-download and it fails, you may get a .ini error, but this may also be due to an invalid offline folder set. Either way, saving your options should fix that error. Is the problem that you can't download winds aloft? Common theme the past 2 days now, for many internet users not just AOL it seems.. If you continue to have .ini errors please send it to me @ and I will take a look..
