January 30, 200323 yr First off, love the product. :)I'd like to make a suggestion, though.Could you please implement an option that will let a user check a box that tells the program that when the FORCE distance is reached it should immediately download and use the Destination wx AND after doing so do not update again unless told to do so manually? This should happen no matter what the normal settings are.For example, I have my FORCE distance set to 100 nm, Update on new METAR station unchecked, Update on new Winds Aloft unchecked, METAR update interval 5 min, Winds Aloft update interval 10 min, and Disable FORCE wind updates checked. While the winds at the Destination Airport don't get changed ... well, let me give you an example from a flight I just completed:Beech King Air 350 IFR from KDMO to KORD. Get within 100 nm of KORD and it indicates the active station is now KORD. It doesn't download the new wx from KORD until around 75 nm from KORD (because it won't override my normal settings). Then, a couple more times before I land it updates KORD wx again and when it does it the last time the wx had actually changed and while the winds stayed the same the pressure changed and clouds and for some reason the interaction of all this caused me to be handed off from approach to the tower while established on the GS for ILS 27L only to be told by the tower to make left traffic for ILS 09R (winds were 180@11). Only reason I can think of a change like this would be the interaction process of ActiveSky, FSUIPC, MyTraffic ATC, and FS2K2 ATC. I'm thinking that if it would stop updating wx when within the FORCED distance this would help eliminate things like this.Beings that I was pressed for time I landed anyways doing a short-field landing at the threshold with hard braking and then off the runway before getting bulldozed by a 747 while ATC was chastizing me. :)Hopefully this can be implemented with ease. Thanx in advance!BTW, I'd be happy to test it out for you if you need another Beta tester. :)
