February 3, 200323 yr Hello,Maby its beaten to death? But I realy like to know: 'what are the best FSUIPC settings for most realistic icing and turbulence'?1)Set turbulence as a variability with a strenght of ....(1-20)?2) Do I also need to enable "ad random turbulence"?...I already enabeled 'ad random ice in clouds' and 'ad turbulence in cloud'!Also IN the FS2002.cfg I changed "TurbulenceScale=1.000000' in 2.000000...Is it true thatb that gives better realism? Please can someone explain?Thanksvortovor
February 3, 200323 yr Commercial Member Hi,1) This doesn't apply - don't use random wind turbulence (see below)2) Negative, leave that to wxRE to generate wind turbulence3) It should be TurbulenceScale=0.200000 for best realism as reported by serval users.. Hope that helps!-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...]
[/table Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
February 4, 200323 yr Hello Damian,Thanks for your help.To be sure, so I don't need the option "Set turbulence as a variability with a strenght of ....(1-20)?Because I tought you mentioned this option before?...and set it on value 4?Thanksvortovor
February 4, 200323 yr Yeah, that confused me a bit too. In the wxRE docs it shows the icing and random turbulence in clouds as being selected. Clarification please Damian? ThanksGlenn
February 5, 200323 yr Commercial Member Hello,4 is fine for default.. but try changing this to your preference. I personally have not experimented with this option. The TurbulenceScale=0.200000 is the ideal setting (along with specified other FSUIPC options) to achieve the most realistic result (as reported by a few other users).Thanks!-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...]
[/table Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
