Destination/force weather updates - small bug?

Featured Replies

Hi Damian,I've been trying out different weather with v1.15 by setting the "force range" to a very high figure, checking the destination/force field, and entering ICAO codes for "interesting" weather.I've noticed something odd where the weather doesn't change to the new ICAO code. After the new METAR/TAF data is downloaded, the text on the main screen "Active Wx Station XXXX / x nm" updates to correctly show the new ICAO code. BUT the field below this which shows which Wx is being used doesn't update and shows wx for the previous ICAO code (and so the FS2002 wx doesn't change)Is there a small bug in the way this field is updated?Great product!Andy

Hi Andy..I will check this out... Does this happen in online AND offline, and does changing the TAF PROCESSING, or DISABLE FORCED WIND UPDATES options have any effect? Thanks!-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...]
[/table

Hi DamianI've just checked, and it happens both online AND offline, with TAF PROCESSING and DISABLE FORCED WIND UPDATES checked OR unchecked. (If the REFRESH button is clicked, it updates the field OK after it has retrieved the data again).I'm running on Win 98, and don't have other apps like RADAR CONTACT or ADVDISP running.Hope this helps,Andy

Hi Andy, thanks for the info.. I was able to duplicate this, it is not reproducable in v1.0 in my tests, so something new has introduced it. I'll get it fixed - thanks again for the report!-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...]
[/table
