For istance, today METAR on the ASky main page reported (I use offline configuration)LIRF 230920Z 06007KT CAVOK 09/M01 Q1031while metar08Z.met file reported2003/02/23 07:50LIRF 230750Z 05005KT 9999 FEW030 SCT070 05/M01 Q1030 NOSIGThe FS2002 weather page reported visibility 5 miles and overcast.Why???Thanks and best regards,James

Hi James,The metar08z.met file looks like it had another later entry past this one, notice the time 0920Z from the processed METAR.No visibility is reported at all in the active LIRF METAR. What ASwxRE should do in that case is set vis to 10SM. Remember it will take time to transition.
