February 23, 200323 yr Commercial Member Hi,You can do some things to increase performance:- Close any other applications you don't need- Disable virus protection- Make sure you have the latest FSUIPC 2.972- Turn down FS sliders- Try force idle priority option in wxRE- Try increasing FS2002 priority (via task manager) to HIGHAlso note that the freeware ActiveSky is lower performance than wxRE...Let me know if that helps.. February 24, 200323 yr Thanks for your prompt respond, but please let me now how can I turn down the FS Sliders, and increasing FS2002 priority to high via task manager. And I using the freeware ActiveSky version, please let me now and thanks again, regards.
February 24, 200323 yr Commercial Member Hi by sliders I mean the FS2002 graphics settings, turn them down a bit.You can also increase the METAR update interval so it updates less frequenty. The freeware version isn't as optimized as wxRE (thus one solution for better performance is to purchase wxRE). Hope that helps!-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...]
[/table Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
