March 13, 200323 yr Wilson,The ActiveSky website is under a great deal of stress today. There is not much we can do about that. Keep trying and you will get through. No username or password will be needed. We know people want IT!!Hope this helps,Jim
March 13, 200323 yr Jim,Judging from the response to the first anchored message, there was more wrong than overwhelming enthusiasm. Sounds like a real fire drill. I hope that 1.6 has fewer bugs than the installation process. Maybe the instructions should have been to install it in a separate location, then if it didn't work, we could go back to 1.4.Also, some more appropriate message might have helped. If no username and password is needed, then why is that exactly the message that I got? Now that I review the problem messages in the forum, it appears that several others had the same problem. Most servers that I have used will give an error message stating that too many users connected, try again later. At least that gives you a clue about what is going on. Asking for a username and password because the Intel 486 server is being overworked isn't exactly user friendly, do you think?Regards,Wilson
March 13, 200323 yr Commercial Member Wilson,The username/password was due to the server being overloaded and unable to provide a connection to a new user anonymous user...Are you still getting this message? You should be using this link:http://www.hifisim.com/wxre16updateb.zipIf you continue to have problems please email me directly, I will send you the program..
