I can not get ActiveSky wxRE 1.6 to stop downloading. It has been attempting to download for over an hour but just keeps timing out. I can get Custom / Force to read the station but the Active Wx Station keeps looping. I can never get into options to see if there is a setting off. I have not had this problem in the past.Stephen Morose

Hello Stephen, this happens if you are in OFFLINE mode and you have an invalid wx download or cycle file configuration. It can also happen if you have selected an "exp*.*" file when in OFFLINE mode - these are only compatible with ONLINE mode for FSFLIGHTMAX export.To fix:-Make sure you are in OFFLINE MODE.-Click AUTO DOWNLOAD AND CREATE NEWMake sure the download is sucessful ("Offline files ready for use...")..If you have problems during the download, check your internet settings including any firewalls. Problem is I run in Online mode all the time. I did go into the .ini file and change the setting to offline. I was able to get a file ready message and it worked in offline mode, but I want to use the program in Online mode. When I try to, it just keeps downloading and I can't even get into options. Custom / Force will read the station, Offline will read the station, but in online mode it will not read the station.

Hi Damian, I've had similar probs today. The program will get a user selected metar but it keeps saying no wind data trying next station. (forever, at least 20 min ;) ) I had to use program manager to shut it down. Tried moving the airplane to several locations around the world and the same thing. Worked great yesterday! I guess the wind server may be down????Chris

Hello Damian,I'm having the problem too. Tried to create offline a new .wxd file. That worked. Switched online again and stuck in a loop again.Lutz

It appears that the server is available again and everthing is working correctly. Problem I see is that if the winds alof is not available the system loops. Should be able to cancle a download so you can get into options and change to offline mode until the server is available agian.Thanks for the quick reply Damian. I have been using ActiveSky for quite some time now first as the freeware and as payware as soon as I found it available, since 1.0 and it has turely enhanced my simming experiance.This was the first real problem I have encountered.Stephen Morose
