AS1.86 crashes fs2002

Featured Replies

It appears that since I upgraded to 1.8-1.86, FS2002 started crashing. The program displays a Microsoft bug window, asking me if I want to send it, and when I press "don't send", fs2002 exits to the desktop. If I fly without ActiveSky, I do not experience program crashes. Any ideas?tony

Tony,Sorry you are having trouble. The next time this happens click on the details link in the bug window and record what it says and post it here. I need a little more information and then I will try to help. I'll be back later on tonight!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support

It's catastrophic, so I cannot take a snap shot of the debug screen. However, when fs2002 crashes, Active sky seems to be active and it appears to be initializing the winds aloft. The mouse is locked up, so I need to reboot. I will try using AS without the winds....tony

How do you click on the "Don't Send" message?Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support

Tony,Please run FS2002 without wxRE for an hour or so. To confirm the problem is with FS2002 and not with wxRE. Out of the 40 or so cases of this in the past the problem has ALWAYS been due to 1) Video driver problem 2) Other FS add-on like scenery or aircraft or 3) OS problem cause by an update or installation of other software.-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...
[/table
