No weather radio voice

Featured Replies

Ive installed version 1.87, and now I cant seem to raise a weather report on the radio.Ive looked around the option screen, thinking maybe Ive reset something, but no go.Anyone else run into this??John wnewburgh, In

John,Just checked mine and its working fine. Things to check:Voice folders still in ActiveSky directory? No update of weather conditions going on at the time?Comm radio tuned to 122.0?Your system still able to play wave files?Wave file volume turned up in the sound control panel in Windows?Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support

Jim..Went down the list, everything OK.All other sounds play OK.Wav files play OK, too.Cant understand it.It was working before.Could something I did have turned off some FS wave playing function.Ive bheen using Lago Diamond Point scnery. It has a sound playing function, which I started, then turned off.Could it be thereabouts??John

Don't know, but it could be. All you coud do is try FlightWatch both ways. Please report your findings.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support

(Im at work, so cant test idea) ... but...Reading another post somewhere about sound conflict...Could the fssound.dll module be causing any problem???John W

Honestly, I'm not sure about that because from a technical point of view I don't know how AS FlightWatch and FS interact. Damian would be able to tell us both!PS: Get back to work!! AVSIM boards are for when you get home! (Just kidding)Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support

Hi John,Let's reconfirm that things were working ok with v1.86 (or a prior version)? Is this correct? If so, I'm thinking an update install problem occured. You could try uninstalling all then reinstalling your base, then v1.87 update. Make sure the target folder gets to your correct v1.x ActiveSky WxRE folder. Also note that if wxRE is busy downloading/processing you will not get a radio readback until it is done. Make sure processing is completing correctly.Does this help?-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...
[/table
