Wind at landing

Featured Replies

Hi all! Today I was flying my PSS Airbus from EDDH to EDDF. During the aproach I have got a METAR with a wnd of 33005, But during the Approach my instruments showed me a wind of 33045. What can i have made wrong? I was using ActiveSky v1.87 (Online-Mode),PSS A320 and FS2002

The METAR is for surface winds, the winds aloft window wii tell you your aloft winds. You may have been flying high enough to still be under the winds aloft data. Once on the ground what did your instruments show?Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support

I got a Metar of 33005 but my Instruments showed me 33045. Think the wind changed not during descent. During taxi to the Gate I also got the 33045 wind. But must say, it was a gusty landing (lol).

Are you using any other add-ons along with AS? Can you fly with a default plane and post your results?Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support

Hi,There is a known rare issue with FS2K2 where the winds will "lock" at a setting and stay there.. it is not related to wxRE or any add-on (it does it even with manual wx control). It happens very rarely and can be fixed by reloading your current aircraft or restarting FS2K2. Perhaps this is what happened? Let me know if you continue to have problems..-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...
[/table
