July 29, 200322 yr Flying around Mt. Rushmore this morning, looking for trouble. Perhaps, found some? The ATIS reports coming out of KCUT was reporting a ceiling of -1400! Below is the METAR and airport info.Other airports like KRAP, reported ceiling of 1000 feet.Could KCUT's elevation have something to do with bad report? KRAP is much lower(well, 3204, but that is 2600 feet lower).Custer Co (KCUT)CTAF: 122.800 MHzUNICOM: 122.800 MHzASOS: 120.000 MHzLatitude: N43*44.00'Longitude: W103*37.06'Elevation: 5602 FT Runway Length Surface ILS ID ILS Freq ILS Hdg8 5500 Asphalt26 5500 AsphaltKCUT 291453Z AUTO 29007KT 10SM BKN100 26/06 A3020 RMK AO2 SLP146 T02610056 53003 TSNO
