Isn't the weather supposed to change gradually?

In my flight from SDF to ORD clouds would instantly change. I thought there was some sort of gradual change. Am I wrong?Brian

Hi Brian,Yes, gradually via octa transitions.. i.e. clear to overcast goes 1/8, 2/8, 3/8, up to 8/8 (unless you are beyond 3000ft of the cloud layer, in which 2&3/8 and 6&7/8 are skipped due to fs2k2 inconsistencies). The actual switch between octas may appear sudden depending on how fs2k2 decides to render the layer at that time. Your cloud graphics sets can also have an effect on this.-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...
[/table
