Proxy Troubles!!!

Featured Replies

Hi there.I was using the very first shareware version of Active Sky - v1.0 and it allowed me to connect to the server without any trouble (I have to use a proxy server due to our network here at home). Now, having upgraded to v1.9 - I can no longer connect - i get a message about invalid servers and then one about metar conflicts. I have tried setting the ip address and port number I use for internet in the options of Activesky but it still doesn't work :-(Any ideasThanks.:-wave

I can only suggest that you put in those same settings and make sure that you click on the Save button. Then do a refresh of the weather. I don't know enough to suggest anything more. Make sure any firewall software/hardware is set properly also.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support

Hi,The internet communications are very similar for the freeware and the wxRE versions, so I don't think wxRE is causing any problems... Perhaps you have a software firewall, and have not yet enabled it for use with wxRE? This is very common.. please check and let us know..-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...
[/table
