August 26, 200322 yr Damien - I have the 1.90.08b payware version. I have had successful weather using Active Skytwice in the maybe 30+ times I have used FS2004.Keep getting the winds timeouts 98% of the time.I have been getting the extremely low visibilityfor quite awhile. It seems to effect the sim evenwhen AS is not used, (when actual wx is used inthe sim). Could FSUIPC be the problem?Sure getting frustrated.
August 27, 200322 yr Apparerntly clearing the browsers cache can get weather working properly again in FS2004, this is in the MS knowledge base. Give it a go. Also make sure you have no themes active and set it to not change weather over time. I don't have FS2004 here at the moment to give you the exact names.Steven.
August 27, 200322 yr Commercial Member Hi,Winds timeouts and low visibility? Can you share some more information, perhaps some screenshots or METAR strings? Thanks!-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...
[/table Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
August 27, 200322 yr Well, I am not getting metars, that's the problem. Whenthe winds timeout, I get NO weather (which is almostall of the time).
August 27, 200322 yr Commercial Member Hi Muzz,Your internet connection to the NOAA servers seems like the problem.. it is working fine for me here and no other reports of problems currently... What kind of connection do you have? Any problems with any other websites? Proxy server? Have that info entered correctly? Using software firewall? Have wxRE properly enabled via that software? Let me know..-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...
[/table Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
