Weather Center Rocks!!!

Featured Replies

Hi All, just a heads up to let you guys know that Weather Center rocks. I not trying to get into a "Weather Center is better" than Active Sky post but I think I prefer it at the moment. Ofcourse AS2 will be out soon, but Weather Center is a fantastic product, and its so nice to have a weather radar that works..Jason

Wait and see what your "support" will be like.Damien and his group so far have an "excellent tech support"Kind regardsJames

Hi,Well now that I have acquired Weather Center, I will be providing all support for it as well. WC is a great product, much different from AS - I recommend that everyone try it, as there is a free trial version! http://www.simulationwidgets.comPlease read the post at the top of the forum about the acquisition! AS2 and beyond will be integrated with core technologies from WC2 AND ActiveSky to combine the best features of each!-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...
[/table

Damian:I took you up on your suggestion and tried to install WeatherCenter so that I could get radar returns in FS9.When I ran the install program, it detected FS2k2 and installed it without a problem. But when I tried to repeat the process in FS9, the only options I had were to modify, repair or uninstall the FS2k2 installation. I was never given the option, at any time, to install it in FS9.So, okay, I figured I would at least enjoy it in FS2k2, so I diligently followed the recommendation to install FSBrowser. Guess what. That installer found FS9, but not FS2k2, so it installed it there.I now have Weather Center installed in FS2k2, though I wanted it installed in FS9. I have the Browser installed in FS9, which is doing me no good for enhancement of the Weather Center experience.I am open to suggestions ;-)Or, then again, should I just wait for the new FS9 version of ActiveSky?Thanks for any advice,Wilson

By the way, I have ActiveSky running successfully in both. No radar returns in FlightMax on FS9, unfortunately.Wilson

Yes, same for me, WC in one not both, but browser will find FS02 if you answer "No" after it locates FS04. I suggest an un-install of Browser and then a re-install.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support

Thanks, Jim. I'll give it a try.Wilson
