Will FSUIPC commercial version be needed for AS2?

Will we need to purchase the commercial version of FSUIPC to get the full features capability of AS2 when it is released?I'm really not interested in anything but the weather smoothing options, I wouldn't use FSUIPC for anything else. Thank you.

Hi James,No, the registered version is not needed. All smoothing is done within AS2. Note that existing FSUIPC smoothing features DO NOT WORK with FS2004 station-based weather (at least not properly!). The smoothing is designed for global weather only, which is entirely obsolete. We're dealing with a whole new wx system here which by default has inherent smoothing and interpolation.Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyhttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2betateam.jpg
