November 28, 200322 yr Commercial Member Greetings,I have been attempting to get IVAO compatibility for the past year.. nobody from IVAO will even respond to any emails. The apparent policy of IVAO is "NO PAYWARE ACCESS" as many IVAO users have told me, but I have never heard this from IVAO itself.. never heard anything from them! I have sent about 5 emails the past few months..I have been asking IVAO users to please send a message to IVAO management requesting that they please respond to my inquiries about access via ActiveSky.. if enough demand was raised they may consider it I suppose!Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyhttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2betateam.jpg Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
November 28, 200322 yr Author Commercial Member Update:I finally received response..Their official position is that NO PAYWARE/SHAREWARE data access is allowed. Period. They have no knowledge of the add-on you mentioned being given permission, so they are investigating that. I am not saying that this developer is breaking the rules, but at this point there is no way they can access IVAO network data legally. Perhaps they are accessing something else which means it isn't truly IVAO integrated.FWIW, I am betting that IVAO data sources are the same as my sources. Which means that you don't need an IVAO checkbox.. compatibility and general data consistency is already included. Just make sure to not use TAF processing/dynamic weather features...Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyhttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2betateam.jpg Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
