Here is the METAR string I copied right out of AS 1.92 for KMLT. AS decided that the FEW035 layer won't even appear and it didn't produce any light snow either. Is AS capable of producing the weather in this METAR or not??KMLT 080458Z AUTO 35013G22KT 5SM -SN FEW035 OVC070 M04/M08 A2974Thanks,KevinPS I am using FS9 on Win 2000 with FSUIPC 3.11I just used the real weather in FS9 and it showed everything just right.I hope AS 2 will be able to give me better results than I have gotten using 1.92

Hi,Absolutely.First things first.. upgrade FSUIPC to 3.125. Solves some problems in earlier versions.Next, if you're not getting the cloud layers, I suspect maybe you don't have FS2004 Writes enabled? Make sure that options is turned on. Check out FS2004_Info.txt. If you still have problems, some common problems could be failure to CLEAR your weather before loading wxRE, or invalid FSUIPC options overwriting your cloud settings. Suggest using normal defaults to start with.If none of this works, please write back. wxRE can most certainly represent this METAR and I am puzzled as to why it is not doing it for you. Hopefully the above tips will get it sorted out and you'll be seeing all the snow you can handle (and then some! Lots of snow coming down these days!).Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyhttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004betateam.jpg

Damian,OK, thanks, I will upgrade FSUIPC and see what I get. When you say to use normal defaults are you talking about the defaults within the FSUIPC? I do have weather writes enabled as well. One thing I may have been guilty of is not clearing the weather within FS before starting active sky, I will try all of these and post the results. Thanks,Kevin

Yes, the quickest way is from the FSUIPC main screen.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support
