Dear Damian and Jim, Thanks for a great product. I fell in love with the original activesky for 2002 and 2004 has not disappointed me. I find it far superior to FS9 version. I look forward to your upcoming upgrade and I know that you and your team are working hard to put out a first class product. To help you to that end Im sending you as much documentation of a flight I had today from Philidelphia to St Louis. For 90% of the flight the weather was dead on and I was most impressed especially on approach into St Louis with the rain, mild turbulance and thunder and lightning. It was quite a show. From reading some posts in the forum I noticed people complaining about not get overcast skies when they feel they should. I have found that unless you have your cloud settings in FS9 's display section (cloud cover density) set to maximum you will never get complete overcast skies. It maybe something worth mentioning if it hasn't been brought up before. Now on this particular flight I had mostly overcast skies the entire flight except when in a blink of an eye my clouds were suddenly gone. This happened 5 seconds before weather from KZZV flashed across my screen. MY screen looked like Pic20 until pic17,18,19 happened. Interesting enough the radar display never changed and within a couple of minutes AS2004 had filled the hole back in with wonderful clouds again. Hi ! Don, Damian and Jim,Yes I agree with you about clouds density but it as only an effect if you are far above an overcast layer.It doesn't change anything when you are close to the overcast an there is always a hole all over your aircraft when you are approaching and then entering in this layer.(like on your screen shot).Try this.You can not observe a blank winshield like when you are IN an overcast.You can always see the ground on approach whatever the ceiling is. hope it helpsJean-Michel

Hi again Don, Damian and Jim,It is the same result even if you have FSW Clouds installed or not , i've tried this also ( yes...ok... ) to get issue for a real overcast...in FS 2004 !!! with AS2004. But nothing to do, as I said in my 2 mails report.Did you try to fly in FS2004 only (without AS2004), in an overcast layer without seeing the ground ?Keep me advised, and I'm totaly available to help you to solve this pb.ThanksJean-Michel

and....I have forgoten to say this...Just try that, with and without AS2004 :In FS2004(only) first and in FS2004(with AS2004)after try an ILS approach in an overcast layer from 300 ft Above Ground Level to 3000 ft A G L and look on the screen if you can see the ground during the approach (using instrument view, without instrument view or external view) and tell me what is the result. I think it could help to solve the problem of overcast and poping clouds.Are you able to solve a FS2004 BUG ???JMperhaps lets use FS2002... joke!
