January 9, 200422 yr Hi All,I bought AS2004 this morning, and all I can say after 3 flights (today is my day off from work!!!!!) is that its a great add-on that met all my expectations. Thanks AS2004 team!I have one quick question, in the manual, when explaining TAF, there is a paragraph that says:.....
January 9, 200422 yr AS2004 uses either the system clock or the FS clock to decide whether the METAR or the TAF report is more relevant to process for current weather conditions. If you select system time, there is a dialog box within the AS2004 options to define your time zone, and it is an offset from GMT. This value must be set correctly for AS2004 to compare your computer clock to the METAR/TAF accurately. By way of example, I downloaded weather this morning at 9 am, local time (13z). If I load FS, and have AS2004 set to use FS time, and my default flight loads with the clock set to 3 pm, AS2004 will likely process the TAF that was downloaded at 9 am and "forecast" what the weather should be based on the FS clock reading 3 pm. Had I selected system time, the value that would be used to decide whether to forecast weather or just use the metar would be my PC's clock offset by the number I told AS2004 to use based on my timezone. Hope that helps...sg [email protected] | 32gb RAM | EVGA GTX1080 8gb | Mostly P3Dv5 (also IL2:BoX, DCS, XP11)
