January 14, 200422 yr Hi, I have a problem to make AS2004 work correctly with smooth cloud change while the weather update. I have no problem beetween stations when the weather is loaded. Each station send its own weather parameter and the change from one station to another is totally correct and smooth. My problem is with an online connection. When the weather changes due to the periodical update from internet, clouds don't smoothly forms or dissipates like they do with perfection in FS2004. In AS2004, they suddenly and definitly appears or disappears (which is absolutely unreal). I'm very surprised nobody talked about that problem on this forum. Can anybody give me some informations to solve that problem ? Or will any future update solve that problem ? Regards.
January 14, 200422 yr Do you have "local update supression" enabled and defined to a reasonable radius such as 80 miles? You should not see the weather update within this radius even if the downloaded weather is significantly different than what was reported in the previous update.Best,sg [email protected] | 32gb RAM | EVGA GTX1080 8gb | Mostly P3Dv5 (also IL2:BoX, DCS, XP11)
January 15, 200422 yr Hi A few people have pointed this out before on the forum. Have you installed the new patch and seen if that makes a difference?I havent had a chance to fly with the new patch so dont know if it resolves this issue or not.
January 15, 200422 yr Yes, I did.I followed what was advice on this forum. But I think I understood why clouds suddently change owing to yur notes.Actually, my main probem was the option "Disable CAVOK cloud generation". I set true to that option ans it's much better now but not completely. Sometimes, I still have the problem. It's probably due to the fact that when the update occurs the difference beetween station is important. Do you advice me to increase the radius ?Thank you.
January 15, 200422 yr Yes I have installed the patch. But I don't think it solves the problem. I think I found the reasons of my problem, probably about the radius of local suppression) (see a previous response). Thanks for your reply.
