Damian, Im back with winxp installed,I don't have that problem anymore,but with new things,comes new problems.I seem to get as2004 installed,at least it puts an icon on my desk,but when i click on it,i get a runtime error 372 {failed to load Chilkatzip.dll} it may be outdated.make sure you are using aversion of control that was provided with your application.}What is chilkapzip.dll? Tom

Hi Tom,That's the compression/decompression activex control which AS2004 uses (and installs to FS9 folder).Either the installaton went bad, the file got deleted/corrupted, or perhaps another application installed an older version of the same control.I suggest a re-install (sorry!) of AS2004 again, confirming chilkatzip.dll gets put in FS9's folder... Thank you very much,Damian. you know,right after i wrote that last note,i reinstalled again,and wala,it worked,thanks, I went on and had a nice flight from Nashville to Richmond,GPS,landed between two fronts had about 15 mph wind out of the east, but landing no problem,thanks for your attention.
