January 22, 200422 yr Hi Damian or JimI noticed my weather radar isn't working since I installed the alpha patch. I tried the work arround mentioned in this forum and it wouldn't work either (registering activeradar.dll it with Fsuipc Ver. 3.135.) My FSUIPC is unregistered. As a consequence I uninstalled Active Sky and reinstalled it, so the radar is back to work again. The weather also seems to produce much more clouds than with the Alpha Patch, although the windshifts naturally have come back now. Is there a chance to get this fixed in the February patch ( I don't wanna fly without the radar!!) as the windshifts are a problem too...Best regards
January 22, 200422 yr Commercial Member Hi,Strange that the alpha disabled radar for you. The issue with the FSUIPC registration was not found to be related to the alpha patch, and in fact the ActiveRadar module remains unchanged. Although there is a known problem with TAF processing and radar which may be related to your experience.Could you try the alpha again and please send me an FSUIPC log (writes, weather and misc.) for about 5 minutes of run time? And see if TAF processing on/off has any effect? We'll get this sorted out either way.. thanks!Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyhttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004betateam.jpg Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
January 22, 200422 yr Hi, Damian:I know that you would rather be banging out code, but may I ask a follow-up question here?Have you or Peter come up with any ideas of what is causing the "known problem" of unregistered FSUIPC with ActiveRadar that some of us are encountering? Using the registration routine in FSUIPC does indeed make ActiveRadar work correctly, but it does get to be a pain after a while, if you know what I mean. By the way, alpha is working GREAT for me!Thanks,Wilson
January 23, 200422 yr Thanks for your quick answer, yes Iam using Taf processing all the time, as I'm not flying "realtime". Give me a couple of days and I'll send you the FSUIPC LogThanks
January 24, 200422 yr Commercial Member Hi Wilson,Progress has been slow on this one, I have been working on other priority issues as you know.. Sorry about that, but it will get resolved soon! What would help is if you could send another FSUIPC log with the latest FSUIPC, showing the same errors as we found last time.. I will start us up with a fresh "trouble report" with Pete. The last log didn't end up working as it was from an older FSUIPC version by the time Pete had a chance to look at it. Only the latest version can be troubleshooted according to Pete. Another thing, you may want to simultaniously start your own trouble report with Pete, it may help things speed along here. Thanks!Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyhttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004betateam.jpg Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
