off line winds file wxRE 1.92, why yesterdays winds?

Featured Replies

Hi,I noticed that Activesky wxRE 1.92, when downloading winds in the off line file, not only downloads todays winds but also yesterdays winds. FSbuild (a flight planning program) is able to import winds aloft data created by Activesky (at least that's what they say..) but that program wrongly takes the yesterdays winds data since it does not check for dates; the latter is confirmed by Ernie of Fsbuild. Why is Activesky downloading yesterdays winds? Who needs that? Would it be possible to suppress that feature?Kind Regards,Nicowww.nicokaan.nlfc.php?vatsim=814584&indicator=OD1&a=pic767.jpg

In Options try using the Low-Bandwidth Winds Download selection. Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support

Yes! That helped. Thanks a lot.Although a bit strange, because I have a 2Mb/s stable downlink connection with the internet and your User's Manual is instructing me NOT to use this option. Maybe you could make a reference in the manual to the problem that occurs when you're trying to import winds data by FSBuild from ActiveskywxRE. I have flown with wrong ( 1-day outdated) winds data for 8 months now, till I found out about this... Who else are having the same problem, but are not aware of it, only complaining about the difference between planned and actual winds..?But any way, thaks again for your support.Nicowww.nicokaan.nlfc.php?vatsim=814584&indicator=OD1&a=pic767.jpg

Glad you got it and thanks for the suggestions!JimActiveSky Support
