February 4, 200422 yr Hi,I while back I posted about "phantom" wake turbulance, I just completed a flight where I thought I had "phantom" turbulance, as soon as the turbulance hit I had a look around, and low and behold a Dash 8 2 miles behind me was giving me wake turbulance. Is this something that can be solved?, or am I just going to have to turn wake turbulance off?.CheersDan.
February 4, 200422 yr Commercial Member Hi Dan,We have identified a bug where lat/lon resolution becomes problematic during position calculations on AI aircraft. This should be fixed as we have re-written the process here. In my initial testing things look great, but you'll have a chance to verify during the first public beta of MR1, due in a few days..Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyhttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004betateam.jpg Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
February 4, 200422 yr Hi Dan,Sorry you experienced this again. For my own infromation: what method are you using to look for other traffic?Right now there is no adjustment that can be made except to turn it off, sorry.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support
February 5, 200422 yr Hi Jim,I can look behind and see the traffic.I have the red "labels" switched on, which tells you the name, airline, type of aircraft and the distance from your aircraft.I have turned it (wake turbulance) off, for now, but I certainly hope that it can be fixed in the future, its one of the good features I was after.CheersDan.
February 5, 200422 yr Dan,I hope you read Damian's post also. That was new information for me too. It is possible that using the method you use a user could miss seeing other planes. Using TrafficLook, included in every FSUIPC download, might show other planes in the area. Just giving everyone something to think about.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support
February 5, 200422 yr Hi Guys,Thanks for the replies and continued support, I look forward to the new patch.CheersDan.
