March 11, 200422 yr I've read a couple of threads about wake turbulence and I have one question on something I'm not 100% clear about.Do I need to clear the atc_id field from the aircraft config for my AI aircraft that have a "N" in the atc_id in order to get the larger wake turbulence effect? I have several aircraft installed from AI Aardvark, FSPainter and PAI that have an "N" in the atc_id field (mainly N123XX in the PAI planes as a placeholder). I'm thinking the answer is "yes" but want to check before I waste my time on something that isn't necessary.Keith
March 11, 200422 yr Commercial Member Hi Keith,You can enable "Increased wake effects" option and you should get severe wake with any kind of aircraft.I am working on some short-term wake enhancements as well, which will make modifying ATC_ID strings unnecessary. Stay tuned..-Damian Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
March 11, 200422 yr Thanks, Damian.I think I'll wait for the enhancement before editing all of my cfg files. Don't really feel like changing them all. Plus I need to work on my piloting skills before tackling wake turbulence. Kept getting blown around last night by CRJs, MD-80s, and 757s everytime I tried the approach at DFW last night.
