"Square fog"....

Featured Replies

I observe that the ground fog in my FS9 looks quite odd. Kind of unrealistic, comparable to squares. Also the sharp edges look very unnatural. Is this an FS9 issue or can I adjust anything to get natural looking fog? I am using NVidia's latest driver. Any ideas on this? Thanks a lot!!Sam

Hi Sam,It's a FS clouds thing. Chris's clouds at FSW have softer edges and will blend in better.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

Hi Sam,Do you have any cloud overcast add-ons? There is an overcast "fix" which can cause these problems... If you have it, uninstall it. As Jim mentioned the FSW clouds also help. Could we get a screenshot?-Damian

Thanks a lot for your postings, Jim and Damian!Hmmm... I don't have any other weather program runnung except for ActiveSky. I once overwrote my cloud texture to get better performance. Could this be the key? I am going to download these mentioned cloud textures of FSW and see if this has any impact. I actually do have a screenshot but no idea how to post it here. May I mail it to you?Kind regards,Sam
