MSFS SDK

Featured Replies

Hi,I am wondering whether the new release of the weather maker SDK by Microsoft will make your life easier in correcting the well known bug you have been fighting against for months. On another subject. I read recently in another thread that Activeradar.dll make FPS drop by a substantial number even if Activeradar is not working. I did a few test last night and can now confirm that if I leave Activeradar.dll in the module folder without starting ActiveRadar my FPS drop to 22 - 20 whereby if I remove Activeradar.dll from the module folder I get 30+ FPS. Is there a logical explanation to this and is there a remedy other than removing ActiveRadar all together.Michael

Hi Michael,Unfortunately no SDK is gonna help us fix an internal coding bug in FS itself :( But the more information they make available on their cryptic formats, the better! Concerning AR causing an FPS hit without being on. The only way I can see this happening is with render to texture ON (it needs to be OFF) and/or FS Anti-Aliasing ON (it needs to be off, and set via card properties, not FS, known bug causing performance hit with 2D window modules). Do you note the same? -Damian
